A roller protection works like a standard bearing and is placed on the opposite side of the roller shutter shaft where the tube motor sits. Should something go wrong with the tube motor, e.g. a defect, the Roller shutter could roll down uncontrollably. The roll-off safety device prevents this by intervening and blocking the Axle/Shaft, bringing the Roller shutter to a safe stop.
