The complete Hirschmann ST Series connector set provides a reliable and easily detachable connection between a tubular motor and the power supply, switch or control cable. Ideal for Roller shutters, awnings and other applications where the motor needs to be quickly disconnected for maintenance or in the event of a fault.
A complete set consists of:
- Hirschmann STAS 3 plug – power supply unit
- Hirschmann STAK 3 coupler – motor section
- Hirschmann STASI 3 locking bracket
With a Hirschmann STAK/STAS connection, the motor can be easily disconnected from the mains supply or Switch. This allows the motor to be quickly connected to a test lead during maintenance, adjustment or in the event of faults, without having to disconnect the entire electrical installation.
The connector has an IP54 protection rating when all parts/components are correctly fitted and fully connected to one another. This means that the plug is protected against dust in harmful quantities and against splashing water from all directions.
The connector is therefore splash-proof, but not completely waterproof. The set is not suitable for submersion or prolonged, unprotected exposure to heavy rain. You should therefore preferably install the connection in a sheltered location.
