Handheld transmitter featuring the latest BiSecur technology
Hörmann’s patented BiSecur technology is based on 128-bit encryption, similar to that used in online banking. This makes it virtually impossible to copy the Handheld transmitter’s radio signal, thereby enhancing the security of your control system. In addition, the range can be extended, although this is still highly dependent on the surrounding conditions. The BiSecur handheld transmitter only works with Hörmann garage door operators featuring integrated BiSecur receivers or with an external BiSecur receiver. Once you have programmed the Handheld transmitter to a fixed 868 MHz code, you can also operate all devices fitted with an 868 MHz receiver from Hörmann.
HomeLink compatibility
Many motor vehicles are already fitted with a so-called ‘car’ button for operating a garage door operator. The code from the Handheld transmitter is transferred to the corresponding HomeLink button in the vehicle. However, this only works with the 868 MHz fixed code and not with BiSecur encryption. To use this function, a BiSecur handheld transmitter must first be converted to the fixed 868 MHz code, and a compatible 868 MHz receiver must be connected to the operator. Genuine Hörmann door operators with BiSecur receivers are therefore not specifically controlled by HomeLink. If you wish to operate them using HomeLink, you must connect an additional 868 MHz receiver.
